====== Tape recorder stuff ====== I like the sound and handling of analog tape. And I like the fact that you have to take good care of the hardware. If you have the right tools, you can do almost everything from maintenance to service yourself. Replacement parts are a little harder to obtain nowadays but at least you get replacement parts. I own the following tape recording and playback devices: * 24 channel Studer A80 VU MkII tape recorder * Tascam BR-20 half track mastering recorder * Nakamichi CR-4E 3 head stereo cassette deck * Sony WM-DC2 Walkman Some digital devices have somehow managed to sneak into my collection... * Sony DTC-55ES DAT recorder * Sony MZ-RH1 Hi-MD MiniDisc Walkman with ECM-DS70P stereo mic In an effort to reduce the stuff I own and just have less things to take care of I have sold the following devices: * Tascam ATR-60/16 studio recorder * Tascam ATR-60/2 half track mastering recorder * Tascam 234L syncaset * Tascam 34B 4-track reel to reel * Sony SL-HF950ES Super Betamax Recorder * Sony PCM-701ES PCM AD/DA converter
